and a reputation of excellence in the helium leak detection field
since 1972.
David
Slack, LDS president, has been performing helium leak detection
since 1968, starting out in the helium leak testing of cryogenic
vessels. David has been a member of the American Vacuum Society (AVS) and the
American Society of Nondestructive Testing (ASNT)
since 1990. In 1972 David
formed LDS and began working in the petrochemical industry testing
exchangers. In 1978 he was joined by Larry Slack.
Together they have 62 years of experience in helium leak detection.
David
and Larry are certified Level III in mass spectrometer helium leak
detection in accordance with American Society of Nondestructive Testing
(ASNT)
and the recommended practice of SNT-TC-1A 2001.
All LDS
technicians are trained and certified in accordance with Leak Detection
Specialist, Inc written practice and SNT-TC-1A Recommended Practice
2001 with intensive on the job training.
Don't
be led to believe that a person is competent just because they are "Certified".
Certification is a must but there's no substitute for experience. LDS
has the experience!
